The LASIK Procedure
LASIK (Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis) is a process that involves reshaping the cornea of the eye in order to correct the irregularities of the eye that cause vision to be distored. The reshaping of the cornea is done on the inside layers of the cornea underneath a flap created by a microkeratome. The entire procedure requires about 15 to 20 minutes for both eyes.

LASIK Eye Surgery Video
Below is a short video (~6 minutes) of the LASIK procedure being performed on one eye from the perspective of the LASIK excimer laser. From the moment the eye is opened and the flap in the cornea is created until the flap is smoothed back into place, this video is fairly graphic and covers everything, although your procedure might be slightly different from what is shown.
